NO SPOILERS review of movie ‘Mud‘. After reading the review you can decide whether movie Mud is worth watching or not.
Movie genre is drama. The USA movie release date was 10th May, 2013. MPAA rated PG-13. Key actors are Tye Sheridan, Jacob Lofland, Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon. Movie Mud was written and directed by Jeff Nichols. Duration of the movie is 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Mud is bit of a slow and long movie. The movie focuses on relationships and love. The movie portrays love in a realistic cold manner. So don’t expect this to be a romantic, feel good movie. There is also around 5 minutes of action towards the end of the film. The movie kept me curious about the mysterious character ‘Mud’ played by Matthew McConaughey. Matthew McConaughey acted well and the story kept me wondering whether he is good guy or bad guy. Towards the end there is some clarity about the character Mud however the movie does not tell much about two things: 1) what really happened between Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon. 2) were they really in love with each other. After the movie ended, I was left unsatisfied and can’t say that I enjoyed the movie.
I would rate the movie 6 out of 10.
